Rival makes small kitchen electric appliances including Rival fondue equipment like the Rival CFF4 2-Pound-Capacity Chocolate Fondue Fountain shown on the right.
It appears that there have been glitches in the production of these CFF4 fountains and several people received defective ones.
Stay away for now!
Rival Fondue Fountain
The Rival CFF5 Chocolate Fondue Fountain, on the other hand, gets better reviews. It is currently out of stock but I’m leaving the link here in the hopes that it will be available again.
It is easy to assemble or disassemble, which makes it easy to clean. It is relatively cheap compared to other chocolate fountains currently available for purchase. The reservoir can hold over 2.2 kg of chocolate (5 lbs) and its two-tiered structure allows for the delicious melted chocolate to flow and create a nice party atmosphere.
Note: If you’ve never used a chocolate fountain, you should be aware that all chocolate fountains require you to either use premixed chocolate (specially made for fountains like Sephra’s Chocolate) or to had large quantities of oil to regular chocolate.
Otherwise, the chocolate wouldn’t be able to flow nicely.
Electric Fondue Pot by Rival
Rival also makes a very popular Rival FD350S Stainless Steel Electric Fondue
Once again, this item is not overly priced. Rival provides quality products at an affordable price. It may not be the flashiest fondue pot around, but it’s electrical and it makes delicious fondue.
The handles stay cool to the touch and the cord will simply detach itself from the pot if someone trips over it, which should help prevent a dangerous hot spill. This pot can be used for hot oil fondue, broth-based fondue or cheese fondue.
This pot comes with forks and a fork holder to keep the forks in place while your guests enjoy fondue. It can hold over 2.8 L (3 quarts) of liquid. It is made of stainless steel and covered with a non-stick cooking surface for easy clean-ups. It also comes with a removable adjustable temperature control probe.
If you’re interested in getting this fondue pot but can’t find it anywhere, I recommend a very similar but newer Rival electric fondue pot here.
